[120 days] Globo onions early, bulbing onions well loved for their sheer size, classic looks, and true tastiness. The skin is a pale straw colour with dark veining, and its flavour is mild and works perfectly in both raw and cooked dishes. Spring-sown bulbs will reach between 250-350 grams in weight, but if you’re looking to show these splendid alliums at their 1kg weight, start them off in December.
Globo onions have won a number of awards, including the Best in Show at the Haverford West County Show in 2010.
