It has a spectacular cold tolerance, a great taste, and is a great for storage. The stalks provide numerous short pods, each containing 4-5 juicy white beans.
You can plant it as early as February and harvest as early as June. If you’re a huge fava (broad bean) fan like I am, successional sowings through May will keep you in fava bean heaven for the entire year.
