Description

Zucchini Courgette Seeds

[90 days] The Zucchini courgette is an early-maturing variety with each plant producing a host of dark-green smooth-skinned fruits. Its slim, cylindrical shape and exceptional internal quality make it our favourite courgette for freezing. Unless you’re going for marrows, pick when young (no longer than 15cm/6in) and harvest continually to keep the plant producing.

Perfect fried in garlic butter, stuffed, shredded into zucchini patties or made into zucchini bread. And be sure to put plenty away for the winter, as this really is the perfect courgette for storing.

Common Questions

Can you grow Zucchini and other courgette varieties together? You can grow courgette varieties together unless you are planning to harvest seeds after maturity. Cross-pollinated Zucchini will not produce fruits true to it's heritage, you should leave at least 10 feet of space between courgettes if you are intending on harvesting their seeds.

How many Zucchini fruits will one plant produce? Once your Zucchini reaches maturity you will be able to harvest about 5 fruits a week for several months of the season.

Can you sow Zucchini into pots? Yes. Zucchini plants perform very well in large pots. So can be grown on any size patio and not just in the garden. If you are growing zucchinis in pots, please note that watering may need to be done twice a day as the plant has a greater risk of drying out.
