A dwarf version of one of Britain’s most reliable winter vegetables, this sturdy little plant grows well in just about any garden.
[45 days] A British staple introduced in the mid-1800s, this popular little brassica sports densely curled, green leaves and a dwarf habit. Unlike other kales, it thrives in poorer soils and windy environments, and will continue to produce tender greens even during harsh winter conditions. It’s perfect for unsheltered, windswept plots and allotments with poor soil. (Of course, it also does splendidly in rich soil too.)
Also known as “'Dwarf Curlies” because its leaves are so densely curled.
This variety does exceptionally well overwintering in our mild British climate.
Height: 45cm (18")

Harvesting is easy young fresh stalks can be cut by hand however to promote good health growth and avoid the risk of disease or rot we recommend cutting with a sharp clean knife.
