An excellent variety of lettuce suitable for both maincrop production and baby leaf.
Larini Lettuce Seeds
Quick and easy to grow, can pick at an early stage of growth and treat like a baby leaf lettuce that can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with other greens in a salad. Or allow growing will create a large head similar to the salad bowl, picking the outer leaves will provide a long-lasting supply of fresh greens. Larini offers a high level of mildew resistance. In our opinion best enjoyed sown in a shallow tray and enjoyed as a young crop.
Larini is one of our go to crops here at Growseed. Produces a good crop in the ground or in pots, copes very well with compact broad sowings for multiple harvests. Can be sown and grown all year round providing you offer protection. Winter sowings require tray sowings for short leaf harvests.
How do I stop my Larini from bolting? You can stop your lettuce bolting by harvesting leaves regularly. This will allow new leaves to grow and extend your growing season.
Does Larini need full sun? Larini grows fastest in a full sun position, but it can still tolerate some shade. Your lettuce will probably appreciate some shade in the warming spring weather.
What temperature does Larini lettuce germinate best? Larini lettue germinate best at an temperature of 16-20°C. Your seeds will not germinate if soil temperatures are much higher then 25°C and you will find they will not sprout.
