Mixed Lettuce Seeds
[45-50 days] A staple favourite in the British garden, Salad Bowl lettuce is an award-winning, non-heading variety with succulent leaves and a wonderful, mellow flavour. It is both heat-resistant and long-standing, and will stay mild and sweet even as summer is coming on. Its name comes from the fact that one plant will fill a salad bowl with no need for additional lettuce. This mixed lettuce combination provides both red and green Salad Bowl varieties.
How many Mixed Lettuce seeds can you plant together? When sowing your seeds directly into soil you should be planting in rows of 10 with about 18 inches of space between each. Each row of your lettuce seeds should have a spacing of about 2 inches between each seed.
What is eating my Mixed lettuce at night? Slugs and snails love nibbling the outside of your lettuce. They will typically invade your crops at night.
What temperature do lettuce seeds germinate? Lettuce seeds can germinate under 10°C but the optimal temperature is 15°C.
