Common Questions

When is Marina Di Chioggia ready to be harvested? You should know when your pumpkin is ready to harvest if the skin is hard and when you tap it you hear a hollow sound. Once the leaves start dying you should be harvesting as your Marina Di Chioggia won't get much bigger than it already is.

How do I protect my Marina Di Chioggia from pests eating it? You can protect your pumpkins by applying a thin later of petroleum jelly to the outside skin. This will stop many pests from eating your pumpkins as they don't like the taste. You can also apply this to the inside of your pumpkin when carved to stop your Marina Di Chioggia from rotting as quick.

How long does Marina Di Chioggia take to germinate? 10 days for the seeds to start sprouting from planting.
