However, you can throw the rule book away and you can get away with sowing this cauliflower all year round with the lower light levels over the winter months germination does take longer but it is not impossible. Harvesting in around 70-90 days from germination.
All year round produces dark leaves and large tight curds (cauliflower head) the densely packed head in our option is perfect for cauliflower cheese!
What is all-year-round cauliflower? A cauliflower that can be sown and grown all year without issues. Start sowing in trays to monitor germination during the winter months when the day is shorter and light levels lower longer time needs to be allowed for seed germination.
How long does cauliflower take to grow? Cauliflowers are ready to harvest 75-90 days from germination in the UK. You can speed this up a little by sowing and growing the cauliflowers in a greenhouse or a polytunnel.
