Ambassador F1 Courgette Seeds

[50 days ] Known as zucchini in the United States, courgettes are some of the easiest vegetables to grow in thee home garden or allotment. Ambassador F1 is an especially early courgette that yields superior-tasting fruit as early as 50 days after planting. The fruits are dark green, 10-20cm (4-8”) long, and have a sweet, slightly nutty flavour.

The plant itself produces over a long period of time and has an excellent tolerance to powdery mildew. It has such a high yield that two or three plants should be sufficient for an entire family. In fact, the main problem with courgettes is eating them all, as they produce so many fruits so quickly. So have fun finding all the different, tasty ways to cook them! They taste great grilled, baked, steamed, roasted, and stir-fried. They’re also great in courgette bread.

Can you grow Ambassador F1 courgettes in pots? It isn't the best idea to grow courgettes in pots, you should use growing bags and containers if you want the best vegetables possible. Planting one or two courgettes per grow bag and one per container. Courgettes tend to be thirsty plants and will need regular watering!

What are good companion vegetables for courgettes? Ambassador F1 courgettes and sweetcorn makes great garden companions when planted together because cornstalks give squash vines a healthy place to grow! Courgettes also do well when planted next to beans, peas, radishes and dill.

Should I soak my Ambassador F1 courgette seeds? If you prefer to speed up the germination process you can soak your Ambassador F1 courgette seeds for 24 hours before sowing in modular trays. You don't have to do this but many vegetable gardeners believe is improve the germination rate and shortens the length of time it takes.
