Marketmore Cucumber Seeds
[70 days] One of the most popular varieties of cucumber, Marketmore cucumbers produce everything one is wanting from a traditional cucumber: mildly sweet, straight fruits with dark green, protective skin. The fruits are up to 9” long and the plants produce over a long season, regardless of whether the weather is hot or cool. Highly disease-resistant and extremely reliable.

Should I pick the flowers off of my Marketmore cucumber plants? If you allow the male flowers on a Marketmore cucumber to pollinate the female flowers then you can end of with a bitter tasting cucumber. Picking off the male flowers once a week will eliminate the bitter compound called cucurbitacin.
Are Marketmore Cucumber plants susceptible to disease? Marketmore cucumbers can be tolerant to a disease called cucumber mosaic virus. The virus is common and cause yellow rotting and stunts growth in a number of your plants and fruits. If you think your cucumbers are being attacked by the virus you need to remove all infected plants and destroy them. DO NOT place the discarded plants in your compost pile as the virus may become a bigger problem.
What type of cucumber is Marketmore? Marketmore produce beautiful, dark green cucumbers that grow to about 8 inches long. The plant produces new fruits all season even with regular picking and offers fruits that keep their size and shape even when in poor weather conditions.
