Each variety of leek reaches maturity in accordance with its specific seasonal timing when planted in the spring. Varieties that are less resistant to cold tend to grow more quickly, whereas those with greater cold resilience typically have a slower growth rate.

We recommend sowing leeks in modules with 5 seeds per cell. This allows you to have a greater harvest yield in the same amount of space. The drawback to this method is leeks will become slightly thinner and have less of the white section and more green. However, this does not make any difference to the taste!
