A great dual-purpose straw-coloured onion that is high-yielding and resists bolting. Best for spring planting
Sturon Onion Set
[120 days] This early-maturing maincrop variety is super easy to grow, producing straw-coloured globes with a sweet, yellow flesh. The sets can be close-planted for spring bunching onions or spaced out for well-sized storage onions. The full-sized onions are ready as early as August. The flavour is superb and this variety in particular is known for its reliability and consistent high quality.
Will keep well into the winter if stored properly.
Good resistance to bolting.
A RHS Award of Garden Merit variety.
Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 15cm (6").
