We like to think of these as a Zebrune onion set. OK they are not pink but the texture, flavor and storage is very very similar. These shallots have the added bonus of being able to be planted out in both spring and winter so if the weather is harsh you can plant them much later than October or November, just keep them flat and in a cool dark location.
When to plant longor shallot? Longor is an autumn planting shallot set so October - November is best however you can sow these as late as March!
