Description

Tigerella Tomato Seeds

Tigerella or "stripey" tomato as some refer to it. Is a fast-maturing tomato, up to four weeks earlier when compared to Moneymaker. A tangy flavour that is paired well with the green / yellow stripes. This is an unusual one for sure.

Suitable for both greenhouse production or outdoor growing Tigerella will perform well in our UK climate. Tomatoes are small to medium in size depending on the growing season and feed, very easy to grow producing a range of colours as the fruit ripens on the plant!

Common Questions

How do Tigerella tomatoes grow? Tigerlla is an indeterminate tomato meaning it requires support to grow upright. It will reach a height of 200cm with a 50cm spread. Will require pruning, tigerella is not a bush tomato.

Why are my Tigerella tomatoes rotting before they turn red? Tomatoes can be affected by blossom end rot which can cause small spots and deformities on on your fruits. Blossom end rot is not a disease and is a common problem that is known to be caused by a calcium imbalance from your Tigerella plant. Peppers, cucumbers and squash can all suffer from blossom end rot from time to time. Make sure to throw the fruits that are suffering from blossom end rot and throw them away.

How long do Tigerella tomatoes take to germinate? Tomatoes need a warm environment to complete the germination process, you should begin to see sprouting 7-14 days after sowing your seeds.
