Description

Jubilee Pea Seeds

[65–75 days] Jubilee is a reliable second early pea variety known for its excellent disease resistance and generous yields. Plants reach a medium height of 60–70cm and consistently produce two well-filled pods per node, each packed with dark green, sweet peas. A great choice for growers wanting an abundant crop without the hassle of tall supports.

Jubilee is well suited to all soil types and holds up well even in challenging conditions. With resistance to Pea Wilt (Race 1) and powdery mildew, plus moderate tolerance to downy mildew, it’s an ideal variety for those looking for strong, healthy plants that won’t succumb to common issues. This makes it particularly useful in gardens with a history of pea problems or for less experienced growers wanting a dependable result.

Height: 60–70cm (24–28"). Spread: 25–35cm (10–14").

Common Questions

Does Jubilee need support? While not as tall as some varieties, Jubilee still benefits from low supports or pea netting to keep pods off the ground and easy to pick.

When should I sow Jubilee peas? Sow from spring onwards once the soil has warmed up. Ideal for a second early crop after overwintering types.

Is Jubilee good for freezing? Yes, the dark green peas hold their colour and flavour well when frozen, making it a good choice for preserving your harvest.
