[70 days] Also known as “Redmate,” This popular spring onion is one of the sweetest salad onions around. Its dramatic colour will liven up any raw dish and its mild flavour makes it particularly wonderful not only in salads, but also on sandwiches or as a condiment. Left in the ground longer, they’ll make an excellent storage onion, yielding bulbs with a deep burgundy colouring and a sweet, mild flavour.

Delicious and full of flavour, North Holland spring onions are delicious chopped raw in all types of savoury salads, or used in stir-fries.
