Description

Biquinho Chilli Seeds – Red & Yellow Mix

[85–95 days] Originally from Brazil, Biquinho chillies are known for their unique teardrop shape and mild, fruity flavour. The name “Biquinho” translates to “little beak” in Portuguese—perfectly describing the pointed tip that sets these chillies apart. This mix includes both red and yellow varieties, adding colour and interest to your garden and your plate.

The small, glossy fruits grow to around 3.5cm long by 2.5cm wide and ripen from green to either a rich red or a bright, sunny yellow depending on the variety. While technically chillies, their heat is very mild—more of a tingle than a burn—making them ideal for pickling, garnishing, or adding whole to sauces and salads without overwhelming spice.

Biquinho plants are compact and productive, doing well in pots, greenhouses, or sunny outdoor spaces. Their ornamental value and gentle heat make them a favourite among growers who enjoy both looks and flavour.

Height: 50–70cm (20–28"). Spread: 40–50cm (16–20").
